Staff updates

Kirsty – we are delighted to welcome Kirsty to the team.  Some of you may have already met her at reception where she works on a Wednesday.  When not on reception she is busy helping out with other general administration.

Dr William (Will) Bickerton – we also welcome Dr Bickerton to the team here at Marshlands and to New Zealand, having recently arrived from the UK with his partner (and dog Elma).

We are thrilled to have Dr Bickerton join us – he working Monday’s, Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Friday’s.

Dr Elizabeth Eadon – sadly we are saying goodbye to Dr Eadon who has been a wonderful part of the team here at Marshlands.  We wish her all the very best for the future and will miss having her as part of the team.

COVID-19 Vaccines

At this stage the vaccination roll out is being managed by Canterbury District Health Board and you will be contacted when you are able to book your vaccine.  We will not be the ones contacting you and we are sorry but we cannot give you an accurate timeframe on when you will be contacted.

The best place for up-to-date information specific to the Canterbury region is https://vaccinatecanterburywestcoast.nz/

Script requests via ConnectMed

You will soon be able to order your repeat prescriptions online via ConnectMed (the same system patients can use to book appointments online).  You will notice a change on our website once this is ready.

If you want to sign up to ConnectMed just visit their website on https://www.connectmed.co.nz/

You will have the option to order your prescription via both ConnectMed and our usual order form on the website.

FLU Vaccines

We still have Flu vaccines available, please see Reception or phone us on 3853114 if you would like to book in for a vaccine.

Enrolments

We are not currently accepting new enrolments (other than for residents of Alpine View or Burlington Rest Homes).

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thank you from the Team at MFHC
