TINA MCCORMACK

PHYSIOTHERAPIST: B.Phty MHPrac (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy), PG Occ Health and MPNZ

Health and wellness are my passion and this is expressed through Body Wise Health which I started in May 2010 when I joined the team at the Marshlands Family Health Centre (previously Gayhurst Medical Centre). I have 22 years experience in the field of Physiotherapy, having worked in a vast range of positions in New Zealand and overseas in the USA and the UK. With a Masters in Health Science in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy, I am an APPI Pilates Instructor, a qualified Occupational Health Physiotherapist and trained in Acupuncture for Musculoskeletal conditions.

My mission is to help others achieve optimal health and wellbeing and I have a strong belief in a holistic and proactive approach to health. I do this through a combination of traditional Sports Physiotherapy, Massage and Myofascial Therapy, Acupuncture, Spinal Mobilisations and Manipulation, Pilates, Wellness Coaching, Woman’s Health, Stress Management and Work Site Assessments.

“I look forward to meeting you and helping out with your individual physiotherapy and health goals”.

RUTH SEEMAN
PHYSIOTHERAPIST: B.Phty, BPh.Ed, MPNZ
Ruth joined the team in January 2017 and is a wonderful addition, with her wide and extensive experience in many areas of Physiotherapy.

I’ve had a varied career as a Physiotherapist, from working in my own private physio clinic in Christchurch to working with the elderly and most recently working in Specialist Mental Health Services. I’ve been physio for various sporting teams including Tennis, Rugby, Netball, and most recently for Volleyball representative teams.

As a (much) younger person, I also completed a Degree in Physical Education before heading off overseas to pursue a career in professional tennis. I have competed and played tennis all around the world, and used to base myself in Germany at the start of each playing season to start my build up for the Pro tennis tour. My highest world ranking on the Womens’ Singles WTA tour was 208 in the 1980’s, while Doubles was Top 100.

” I look forward to meeting you and helping out with your individual and physiotherapy health goals!”
